Central Green to Host 5th Annual H-Town Sports Day in February

On February 17, the 5th Annual H-Town Sports Day will bring professional athletes from Houston’s pro teams, Race Car drivers, athletes from national tiers, mascots, and Olympians to Central Green in Katy.
 
This action-packed event kicks off with a Play 60 at 12:00 PM Kids will have the opportunity to work out with professional athletes, learn healthy habits and ask questions about their performance or how to enter the professional world of sports. Sign-up starts promptly at 11:00 AM for Play 60.
 

This star-studded event will include athletes from a variety of sports, including Arian Foster and Andre’ Johnson with the Houston Texan; players from Toro; Brian Ching, Street Team and Legacy Players with the Houston Dynamo; Street Team and Legacy Players from the Houston Dash team; Deisel; Space Cowboys; Orion; Saber Cats; NASCAR, including Ty Hymel with car; O. Bellows; Boxing Ring; and Phoenix Sun. More legacy players to be announced soon.

Located in LaCenterra at 23501 Cinco Ranch Boulevard in Katy, Central Green is a half-acre public park developed by Willow Fork Drainage District (WFDD) that serves as a signature public plaza space for Katy residents and visitors from surrounding areas. Designed to be a centrally located, multi-purpose venue for special events, entertainment and community gatherings, Central Green is located on the south end of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch in Katy, Texas, close to shops, dining and in walking distance to nearby schools, libraries and theaters.

The park features an outdoor stage, large oak shade trees, and an open lawn with relaxed seating options ideal for sharing coffee with a friend, hanging out with family or enjoying a movie night or live performance. During the day, fitness, education and art events are held regularly.
