“What I will miss most about SBISD is the feeling of community.”

What did you enjoy most about going to school in Spring Branch ISD (SBISD)?

What I enjoyed most about attending school in SBISD were the opportunities for expanded learning. I could take classes adapted to my specific learning style and pace. Thanks to SBISD, I have fostered a love of learning!

During your high school years, in which activities did you participate?

I was involved with soccer and softball. I was also a member of the National Honor Society and the National Charity League. I’ve served as an acolyte at Christ Church Cathedral and volunteered regularly at the East Spring Branch Food Pantry.

What advice would you give incoming freshmen about starting high school?

My best advice is to start working hard now! Although it may seem boring or hard, your future self will thank you. As I reflect and prepare to graduate, I’m grateful that I kept my grades up as an underclassman. Doing so removed some of the pressure during my senior year.

What will you miss most about Spring Branch ISD?

What I will miss most about SBISD is the sense of community. I made lifelong friends while attending Valley Oaks Elementary, and those friendships endured during my time at Spring Branch Academic Institute, Spring Forest Middle School, and Stratford High School. My teachers and administrators have always been encouraging and supportive of my education and goals. I will be sad to leave, but I am looking forward to my next chapter!

What is one fun or surprising fact about you?

One year, my family traveled across the Lone Star State to try the 50 best BBQ restaurants in Texas. In one day, I ate at five different BBQ places. I’m also obsessed with Wint O Green Lifesavers!

Where are you headed next?

I will attend the University of Texas at Austin to study history and pre-law. Hook ‘em Horns!
