Celebrating Community Spirit: Highlights from Nottingham Country's National Night Out 2024

October 02 2024

Dear Nottingham Country Residents,

The Nottingham Country Community Improvement Association (CIA) would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your enthusiastic participation in our National Night Out event held on October 1, 2024, at Nottingham Elementary. It was a fantastic evening filled with community spirit, and we are excited to share some of the highlights!

First and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who attended! Seeing both familiar faces and welcoming new residents truly made the event special. Your energy and enthusiasm reinforce what makes Nottingham Country such a wonderful place to call home.

We would like to give special recognition to the individuals and organizations that contributed to the success of the night. A sincere thank you to Commissioner Leslie Briones and Officer Victoria Cavillo for their unwavering support in addressing community issues. We also appreciate the presence of Sgt. and Tiger from the K9 unit of Harris County Constable Precinct 5, whose commitment to our safety is invaluable.

Our local firefighting heroes at Harris County ESD 48 engaged with residents, showcasing their dedication to our safety and well-being. We are grateful for their service and ongoing commitment to the community.

Additionally, we’d like to acknowledge Jennifer Miller from Texas Community Benefits Partner for her continued support of our community initiatives. Your efforts help us enhance the quality of life in Nottingham Country.

A big shout-out goes to our local businesses! Tony and Bob from Big Z’s provided delicious food and beverages that everyone enjoyed, fostering a sense of community spirit that we truly cherish. Angelica Bracho with Berkshire Hathaway and Brumme Sport Karate, resident businesses, shared information about their services as well. It was a treat to learn more about what they do and how they serve the community.

The bounce house was a hit, adding a fun element for the kids!

We also want to recognize Stephanie, one of our dedicated board members, for her hard work in making this event a success. National Night Out is a labor of love for the entire CIA board, and we are committed to continuing to build and strengthen our community.

This event serves a vital purpose—bringing us together, fostering relationships, and promoting safety. We can’t wait for next year’s National Night Out! Thank you all for making this year’s event such a memorable one. Let’s keep the momentum going as we continue to strengthen our Nottingham Country community!

Warm regards,
The Nottingham Country CIA Board
