Book Lovers Unite: Donate Your Gently-Used Books for a Good Cause at Cinco Ranch Branch Library
Have you accumulated piles of books over the years? Looking for a way to declutter your bookcases and give your treasured tales a new lease on life? The Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library are inviting the community to donate gently-used books for their upcoming book sales and fundraisers.
Donating to the Cinco Ranch Branch Library, conveniently located at 2620 Commercial Center Boulevard near LaCenterra in Katy, is a great way to support your community and ensure the gift of literacy and joy of reading are shared widely. Organizers are accepting a wide variety of books including fiction, non-fiction, hardback, paperback, and even textbooks. Just remember to ensure that your donated items are clean, unmarred, and ready to provide delight to the next reader.
Unfortunately, contributions such as cassettes, VHS tapes, DVDs, CDs, outdated encyclopedias, and books that are damp, moldy, or insect ridden cannot be accepted.
The organization's book sales are a treasured tradition within the community, with a longstanding history of supporting adult and children's programs, cultural events, and staff-development and continuing-education programs. Buying books at these sales does not only fill your bookshelves with excellent reads but also supports a good cause — a win-win situation, for sure.
The funds raised through these book sales are instrumental in funding a wide array of diverse programs such as Family Reading Club Winter Challenge, the Summer Reading Club, International Coffee Hour, in addition to various musical and theatrical performances and more. Each contribution goes a long way in funding these beneficial community programs.
Each book donated, every book sold — all of it makes a difference. As the Friends of the Cinco Ranch Branch Library is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation,, your donations are not only cherished contributions to the community but are also tax-deductible.
So, why not turn one reader's end into another reader's beginning, all while supporting meaningful efforts to foster our community's love of literature? Drop by the Cinco Ranch Branch Library during business hours with your donations to partake in this noble initiative.
For more information, reach out to the Cinco Ranch Branch Library at 281-395-1311 or email friendsofcincoranchlib@gmail.com.
Let’s come together to spread the magic of reading in our community, one book at a time.
