Tomball residents looking for a new way to stay active will soon have another fitness option close to home. BODYBAR Pilates, a growing national boutique fitness franchise specializing in Reformer Pilates, is preparing to open a new studio at Tomball Town Center, located at 14080 FM 2920 Road in Tomball, Texas. The upcoming location will bring the brand's instructor-led Pilates workouts to an area serving families throughout Tomball, Rosehill, Northpointe and surrounding northwest Harris County communities.

The new BODYBAR Pilates Tomball studio will occupy approximately 2,975 square feet of retail space, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project filing. The estimated $135,744 renovation is scheduled to begin October 19, 2026, with an anticipated completion date of January 18, 2027. Planned improvements include demolition, framing, electrical work, HVAC ductwork, plumbing fixtures, drywall, insulation, painting, flooring and tile. While the construction timeline points to an early 2027 completion, an official grand opening date has not yet been announced.BODYBAR has already listed Tomball as a coming-soon location on its website.

What Is BODYBAR Pilates, and What Makes Its Workouts Different?

Founded in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2012, BODYBAR Pilates has grown from a Texas fitness concept into a national franchise with more than 80 studios across 25 states, according to the company's website. Its approach combines traditional Pilates principles with modern strength training, offering low-impact workouts designed to improve core strength, flexibility, balance, mobility and overall conditioning.

Unlike traditional mat Pilates classes, BODYBAR centers its workouts around the Pilates Reformer, a specialized exercise machine that uses springs, pulleys and a moving carriage to provide adjustable resistance. The equipment allows participants to perform controlled movements that challenge different muscle groups without relying on the high-impact exercises commonly associated with some other fitness programs.

The company offers several class formats, including Precision, Performance, Strength, Fusion, Agility, Reset and Balance 40. Depending on the class, participants can expect an emphasis on foundational Pilates technique, muscular endurance, strength, cardiovascular conditioning or mobility. Classes are designed for different experience levels, including beginners who have never used a Reformer.

BODYBAR also places considerable emphasis on its studio environment. Rather than operating as a traditional open-floor gym, the brand offers small-group classes led by trained instructors who provide guidance on technique and movement. Studios also incorporate opportunities for members to get acquainted through social gatherings and other activities outside scheduled workouts.

BODYBAR Pilates Continues Expanding Across Greater Houston

The Tomball studio is part of BODYBAR Pilates' ongoing expansion throughout the Houston metropolitan area. The company already operates locations in Cypress, Katy, Pearland's Shadow Creek area and Woodforest in Montgomery County, giving residents across several suburban communities access to its Reformer-based workouts.

The Cypress studio, located at 9430 Fry Road, Suite 500, serves the growing Bridgeland and Cypress area, while the Katy location at 28105 South Firethorne Road provides another option for residents in western Fort Bend County and surrounding neighborhoods.

The Tomball expansion also has a local ownership connection. In June 2025, BODYBAR announced that former Navy SEAL Jeremy Beal and his wife, Erica Beal, had signed a franchise agreement to bring two studios to the Houston market, with locations planned for Tomball and Magnolia. Their agreement marked the company's 150th signed franchise agreement nationwide.

For Tomball residents, the new studio will mean another option for structured fitness classes without having to travel to other parts of northwest Houston. Its location along FM 2920 also places it within an established commercial corridor used by residents commuting between Tomball, Spring and nearby neighborhoods.

When Will BODYBAR Pilates Open in Tomball?

Construction at the new BODYBAR Pilates location is currently scheduled to wrap up January 18, 2027, although that date represents the projected completion of renovation work rather than a confirmed opening.

The company has established an official BODYBAR Pilates Tomball webpage, where prospective members can follow the studio's progress and look for information about memberships, introductory offers and class availability as opening plans are finalized.

With additional residential growth continuing throughout Tomball and northwest Harris County, the arrival of BODYBAR Pilates adds another choice to the area's expanding selection of fitness and wellness businesses. For residents interested in trying Reformer Pilates for the first time, or those hoping to find a studio closer to home, the upcoming Tomball Town Center location will be one to watch heading into 2027.
