A. Robison ES Student Wins Boosterthon Disney Sweepstakes

December 16 2022

Robison Elementary School third grade student Jaxon Hegge was recently announced as the winner of Boosterthon’s national Disney sweepstakes contest.

Booster, a school solution provider that specializes in school fundraising, partnered with A. Robison to host Boosterthon Fun Run, a fundraising event the school has used for multiple years. As part of the fundraiser, students are encouraged to create an online student page to helps curate pledges and sponsors for the fun run. As an incentive to share a student’s page, Boosterthon hosted a national sweepstakes contest with the grand prize being a four-day, three-night vacation to Walt Disney World in Florida.

Mickey Boucher, Boosterthon program leader, along with Katie Noack, Hegge’s mom, and a handful of A. Robison PTO and staff members, surprised Hegge on Dec. 12 with the exciting news.

Hegge was entered into the Boosterthon national sweepstakes contest after participating in the school’s Boosterthon Fun Run.

“I had chills when I found out Jaxon won the contest,” Noack said. “I can’t believe he won. This will be our first time as a family to go to Disney.”

Each time Hegge completed a task relating to sharing his Boosterthon Fun Run page, whether it was through social media, email or text messages, he received an entry into the national sweepstakes.

“This contest is hosted once a year and is nationwide,” Boucher said. “It’s very special that Jaxon was selected as the winner. We’re very excited for him and his family!”

Hegge and his parents are working with Booster to determine when the trip to Walt Disney World will take place.

“Booster would like to give a big thank you to all our partners in CFISD,” said Mike Haver, Booster regional leader. “It’s really fun to work alongside principals and PTOs, and take the burden off of them when it comes to fundraising. It’s also a treat to do really fun things like sending families to Disney.”
