Tomball ISD Celebrates the Opening of West Elementary
As the 2024-2025 school year rapidly approaches, Tomball Independent School District (Tomball ISD) recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate a key milestone in district progression - the welcome of West Elementary, its 12th elementary campus.
Tomball ISD Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Martha Salazar-Zamora commented on the monumental day, "We are so excited to celebrate yet another milestone in the history of Tomball ISD with the ribbon cutting ceremony for West Elementary.” The Superintendent expressed the sentiment that elementary schools serve as the foundation of the district, and as such, West Elementary will play a crucial role in the early education experiences for the district's youngest members. Dr. Salazar-Zamora also extended gratitude to those who contributed to the successful opening of the school, and acknowledged the continued support from the dedicated School Board.
Recognized as the first of three campuses to open as part of the 2021 Bond project within the West Complex, West Elementary is home to the Tigers. As the 24th campus to open in Tomball ISD, West Elementary will provide educational services for students in Pre-K through fourth grade, under the leadership of its first Principal, Mr. Chad Schmidt. The campus is located at 18444 Cypress Heights Dr, Cypress, TX 77433.
