Help Refill Tomball’s TEAM Food Pantry: Local Nonprofit Seeks Donations to Support Families in Crisis
Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families in crisis, is asking for the community’s help to restock its food pantry. As shelves run low once again, the organization is calling on local residents, schools, churches, and businesses to donate non-expired, shelf-stable food and essential household items to support families in need within the Tomball area.
Located at 300 W Main Street (at Cherry Street) in Tomball, TEAM’s food pantry serves individuals and families living in zip codes 77375, 77377, or within Tomball ISD. Donations are accepted Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the double doors marked "Food Donations" behind the TEAM building. Donors can knock loudly or leave items in the designated dark tub outside.
Serving Tomball Families for Nearly Four Decades
Founded in 1986 by 13 local churches, TEAM has been a cornerstone of support for Tomball-area families for nearly 40 years. The organization was formed with a mission to follow Christ’s command to “love and provide for families in crisis,” and has since grown to include the sponsorship of more than 19 local churches. TEAM offers a variety of emergency assistance services including food distribution, clothing, help with medical and dental expenses, and support with household bills.
In the most recent fiscal year (October 2022 – September 2023), TEAM provided over $400,000 in food and financial assistance to neighbors in need. The organization receives no government funding, operating entirely through community donations and volunteer efforts, with more than 90% of all contributions going directly to client assistance.
Items Needed to Support the Food Pantry
TEAM’s food pantry relies on donations from individuals, schools, and businesses, as well as discounted purchases from the Houston Food Bank. Providing Food Assistance with Dignity
