World Kindness Day

November 13 2022

The definition of Kindness is the sincere and voluntary use of one's time, talent, and resources to better the lives of others, one's own life, and the world through genuine acts of love, compassion, generosity, and service.

Although World Kindness Day is officially on November 13th each year, kindness can easily be shown each and every day. Kindness involves choosing to make a positive impact on another person's life. And, in turn, making a positive impact on one's self. It's such an easy task, yet many have become so focused on themselves that they've forgotten how life altering it can be to the people touched by kindness, as well as the feeling of joy it gives the person being kind. Making an effort every day to show compassion and love to those around us will make a difference not only in our lives, but magnifies and spreads to everyone, essentially making the world a better place.

Make the choice today to be kind to others... to your family, neighbors, friends, coworkers, strangers. Sincere kindness does so much more than make us smile. It stays with us and lingers. It rids us of cynicism and reaffirms faith in humanity - Kindness changes us. Despite how low we feel or how far we’ve fallen, great acts of kindness pick us up, dust us off, and urge us to stand tall regardless of the weight of our burdens.
