Viva a Fiesta 2024: Celebrating Community and Support for The Arc of Katy
As the calendar turns to another year, The Arc of Katy is preparing for its biggest celebration yet, Viva la Fiesta 2024! This fundraising social event set for Friday, February 16th invites all community members to join the festivities in support of The Arc of Katy's exceptional work for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Since its establishment in 1990, The Arc of Katy has been a beacon of hope for many families, providing high-quality, safe, and affordable programs. These initiatives offer skills development, social enrichment, and community involvement for individuals with I/DD. The annual Fiesta is a key piece of the puzzle, generating essential funds for these extraordinary programs that aim to enrich the lives of The Arc of Katy members.

The prestigious Ann Davis Founders Award will be presented to the Houston Junior Forum for their significant financial support, which has particularly benefited The Arc of Katy's summer program for teens and adults. To date, the Houston Junior Forum has donated over $20,000 to this indispensable program.
In addition, the heartfelt and devoted service of Marvin and Mary Keller will be celebrated as they receive the honor of Volunteers of the Year 2024. Their countless hours of service and generous contributions have left a lasting impact on The Arc of Katy's community.
For the first time, The Arc of Katy will be acknowledging a business as a Community Champion — Rooms To Go. This furniture retailer has demonstrated its deep connection to the community by providing substantial furniture contributions to The Arc of Katy, saving the organization thousands of dollars.
The Fiesta will be held at the Palacio Maria, promising an entertaining evening filled with delicious food, beverages, and thrilling auction items – all in favor of a noble cause.
The Arc of Katy has been consistently dedicated to supporting individuals with I/DD become respected and active members of the community throughout their lifetime. From its adult day program and summer sessions to Be Strong activities and Empowerment Through Knowledge education programs, The Arc of Katy is making a difference every day.
