Unique Mother's Day Gifts for Animal Loving Moms

May 05 2023

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and if you’re wondering what to get your mother, or the special woman in your life, the Houston SPCA has a few extra-special gift ideas.

Name an Orphaned Kitten

Honor Mom by naming a kitten in our life-saving neonatal nursery. She will receive a photo of the kitten with the personalized nursery card posted on their incubator just in time for Mother’s Day for only $30. When kitten season comes to an end in June, Mom will receive her second gift: a physical copy of the nursery card in the mail along with the kitten’s adorable pawprints. To guarantee delivery, donate before 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 HERE.

Expand the Family with 50% Off VIP Pets

Celebrate Mom or become a Pet Mom to experience the unconditional love of a homeless pet. Adopt a VIP (Very Important Pup) for half of their adoption fee that includes microchip, spay or neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, free sample bag of Hill’s Science Diet pet food and a post-exam from any VCA Animal Hospital. Visit the Houston SPCA now through May 14 and look for the VIP logo on suites.

Honor Mom’s Beloved Pet

The Houston SPCA is offering another option to honor Mom with a memory stone engraved with a custom, heartfelt dedication for a beloved pet. The stones will be featured in the beautiful Carol & Tommy Harper Courtyard with a serenity fountain that is located on the Houston SPCA’s William and Evelyn Griffin Campus for All Animals. The personalized stones come in a variety of sizes, and donations for the custom stones are $500 or $1000. Moms will receive a copy of what their stone will look like in time for Mother’s Day. To guarantee deliver, donate before 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 11 HERE.
