Tomball Regional Health Foundation Opens New Learning Center and 5.5-Acre Wellness Campus, Invites Community to April 16 Grand Opening

March 26 2026

For families across Tomball, Magnolia, Cypress, Klein, and surrounding communities, access to health resources often goes beyond a doctor’s office—it’s about education, prevention, and spaces that support everyday well-being. That vision is now taking physical shape with the opening of the new Tomball Regional Health Foundation Administrative Offices and Learning Center, a project designed to serve both as a hub for health initiatives and a welcoming place for the community itself.

Now open at 13302 Medical Complex Drive in Tomball, the new facility represents more than just a building—it reflects decades of local investment in community health and a forward-looking commitment to wellness across the region.

Residents will have an opportunity to experience the space firsthand during the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on April 16, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., hosted in partnership with the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce and Paradigm Construction.

A Space Designed for Everyday Wellness in Tomball

Set on a thoughtfully designed 5.5-acre campus in the heart of the Tomball Medical Center, the new Tomball Regional Health Foundation facility blends indoor learning with outdoor wellness in a way that’s intentionally accessible to the public.

While the administrative offices and learning center will support nonprofit partnerships and health education programs, the surrounding outdoor space is equally significant for residents looking for places to stay active and recharge.

The campus includes:

  • Shaded walking trails with fitness stations
  • A sensory garden designed for individuals with special needs
  • A tranquil stocked pond
  • ADA-accessible picnic areas
  • A covered pavilion and natural seating areas crafted from on-site materials
  • Birdhouses and feeders that encourage connection with nature

For nearby homeowners and families, this creates a new option for free, local outdoor activity in Tomball, reinforcing the idea that health begins in everyday routines—walking, gathering, and simply spending time outside.

Building on a Legacy of Community Health Investment

The Tomball Regional Health Foundation (TRHF) has deep roots in the community, dating back to 1976 when the Tomball Hospital Authority first opened Tomball Regional Medical Center. Following the hospital’s sale in 2011—and later transition to HCA Healthcare Houston in 2017—the foundation was established to steward those proceeds for long-term community benefit.

Today, TRHF continues to play a quiet but powerful role in the region, having awarded more than $30 million in fundingto nonprofit organizations that expand access to healthcare, preventative services, and health education across Greater Tomball and neighboring areas.

Rather than operating programs directly, the foundation partners with local nonprofits—strengthening collaboration and helping extend the reach of services that many residents rely on.

The new Administrative Offices and Learning Center is expected to enhance that mission by providing a centralized space for:

  • Educational programming and community workshops
  • Collaboration with nonprofit partners
  • Expanded outreach focused on preventative care and wellness

What Residents Can Expect at the Grand Opening

The April 16 ribbon cutting event in Tomball is designed as both a celebration and an invitation for the community to engage with the space.

Guests can expect:

  • A brief program and official ribbon cutting
  • Guided tours of the new learning center
  • Access to the outdoor wellness campus
  • Light refreshments and opportunities to connect with community partners

Due to the newness of the location, organizers note that some GPS systems may not yet recognize the address. The site is located on Medical Complex Drive just west of School Street, with overflow parking available in HCA Tomball Hospital Parking Lot D, near the emergency room entrance.

Why This Matters for Tomball-Area Residents

As Tomball and surrounding communities continue to grow, projects like this reflect a broader shift toward community-centered health infrastructure—spaces that support prevention, education, and quality of life, not just treatment.

For residents, that translates into:

  • More accessible health and wellness resources close to home
  • Additional green space and outdoor amenities
  • Increased support for local nonprofits and community programs
  • A long-term investment in public health that benefits families, seniors, and future generations

In a region where rapid growth can sometimes outpace infrastructure, the Tomball Regional Health Foundation’s new campus stands out as a reminder that thoughtful development can still prioritize people.

What Happens Next

While the facility is already open, the April 16 event marks the official public introduction of a space that is expected to evolve alongside community needs. Additional programming through the learning center is anticipated, along with ongoing partnerships that expand health education and access across the region.

For many, the impact will be gradual—but meaningful—showing up in the form of healthier habits, stronger partnerships, and a shared sense of ownership in a space built for the community.

Residents are encouraged to attend the grand opening, explore the campus, and see firsthand how this new addition fits into the broader story of Tomball’s growth.
