Texas Master Chorale to Present 'A Feast of Carols' Holiday Concert on December 14
The Texas Master Chorale invites the Houston community to kick off the holiday season with a festive Christmas concert, “A Feast of Carols,” on Saturday, December 14. This heartwarming performance will feature a mix of traditional carols, sacred music, and fun holiday tunes that are sure to put everyone in the Christmas spirit.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at John Wesley Church, located at 5830 Bermuda Dunes Drive in Houston. Tickets for the event are priced at $25, with free admission for students presenting a valid school ID. In addition to the Texas Master Chorale’s performance, the concert will also feature students from the Klein High School Choir, who will join the chorale for several selections. The Klein High School Choir is directed by Sean Stultz and Rebecca Berger, adding an extra layer of local talent to the festive event.
This concert is part of the 2024-25 season, which marks a significant milestone for Texas Master Chorale as they celebrate their 40th anniversary. Over the past four decades, the ensemble has earned a reputation for excellence in choral music, performing a diverse repertoire ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions. Founded and led by Brad Bouley, the Texas Master Chorale is a mixed ensemble of 100 auditioned singers who come together to deliver high-quality performances that resonate with audiences throughout the Houston area. Bouley, a highly respected figure in the local choral community, served as the Director of Choirs at Tomball High School for 20 years and as the Director of Fine Arts for Tomball ISD for 15 years before his retirement. In recognition of his contributions to choral music, Bouley was awarded the Texas Choral Excellence Award in 2018 by the Texas Choral Directors Association.
