Swig Soda Shop to Open in Katy: Dirty Sodas, Shakes, and More Coming Soon
Swig, the fun and trendy soda shop known for its deliciously customizable drinks and indulgent treats, is opening its doors in Katy, Texas, making it the latest destination for locals craving something sweet and refreshing. Located at 1111 Katy Fort Bend Rd, Suite 100, the new Swig will be the first in Katy and the latest addition to the Greater Houston Area. According to TDLR, construction is set to begin in February 2025, with an opening slated for April 2025.
What makes Swig stand out? It’s all about the unique “dirty sodas.” These signature drinks mix soda with a variety of fun add-ins like coconut, peach, and vanilla, offering a twist on the classic soda experience. Guests can customize their sodas with different flavors, fruits, creams, and purees, creating their perfect drink. Not much of a soda fan? The menu also includes sparkling water refreshers, frosty milkshakes, fresh lemonades, and iced teas, along with sugar-free flavor options for those who prefer a lighter drink.
But the drinks are just half the story. Swig is also known for its mouthwatering snacks, perfect for pairing with a drink or enjoying on their own. From warm, freshly baked sugar cookies to crispy churros and salty pretzels, these treats add a fun, indulgent element to your visit. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth or grab a quick snack with friends. The Katy location will be available for both in-store visits and online orders through the Swig app, making it easy to schedule a pickup or have your favorite drinks and snacks delivered straight to your door.

The Katy location is an exciting addition to Swig’s growing presence in the Houston area. It will join the Fulshear location on FM 1093 near Cross Creek Ranch and Westheimer Lakes, marking Swig’s second store in the Katy/Fulshear area. With over 80 locations across the country and hundreds more in the works, the Katy shop is part of a larger expansion plan that’s bringing Swig’s signature sodas and treats to new communities across the U.S.
Swig was founded in 2010 by Nicole Tanner in St. George, Utah, after she personally experienced a difficult battle with breast cancer and the financial challenges that came with it. Inspired by her own experience, Tanner created Swig as a way to bring joy to people’s lives while giving back to the community. Each year, Swig holds its “Save the Cups” campaign, helping women pay off medical bills while they fight cancer. It’s this spirit of giving that has made Swig more than just a soda shop; it’s a brand that strives to make a difference.
