Star Break Opens in Fulshear: New Studio Empowers Young Performers with Summer Film Camp and Hollywood Coaching
The entertainment industry just found a new launchpad in Fulshear, where Star Break—a studio and production company for aspiring young performers—officially opened its doors this June. Founded by industry parent Nicole Warren and world-renowned dancer Jaime “Venum” Burgos, the studio offers something rare in the Greater Houston area: professional-level training and mentorship for kids chasing dreams in film, dance, and music.
At its core, Star Break is designed to nurture both young talent and their families. From personalized coaching and performance reels to cinematic production support, the studio aims to bridge the gap between ambition and access—especially for those new to the entertainment scene.
“We know firsthand how overwhelming it can be for families just starting out,” said co-founder Nicole Warren. “Star Break fills a vital gap by empowering both children and their parents with essential skills, industry knowledge, and professional-quality materials like demo reels and headshots.”

A Studio Built on Experience and Heart
Nicole Warren brings real-world experience to the table. She’s the mother of rising star Gavin Warren, who has appeared in Fear the Walking Dead, Night Swim, and The Unbreakable Boy. Her co-founder, Jaime “Venum” Burgos, brings three decades of experience as a dancer, creative director, and industry consultant. A veteran performer whose credits include Step Up 3D, So You Think You Can Dance, and global tours with Janet Jackson and Justin Bieber, Burgos moved to Fulshear in 2024 to share his artistry with the local community.
Burgos’ own story is one of perseverance and purpose. Growing up in Tampa, Florida, he found sanctuary in breakdancing after a troubled family past, crediting dance with saving his life. His passion now lies in mentoring kids to help them discover the same outlet for self-expression and resilience.
“I aim to create a supportive community. I want to be a leader and mentor who shows these kids the value of hard work and excellence,” Burgos shared. “Through this journey, they gain confidence. I aspire to be the person who changes lives and helps others discover their voice through art.”

Lights, Camera, Confidence: The Summer Film Camp
Star Break’s first major program, a hands-on Summer Film Camp, is already making waves. Aimed at students aged 10 to 17, the camp guides young performers through every step of filmmaking—from brainstorming and writing to acting and producing. With limited enrollment, every camper gets significant on-set experience and personalized coaching.
Adding star power to the curriculum is actor Gavin Warren himself, who’s stepping into the role of youth mentor alongside award-winning filmmaker Erika Waldorf. Together, they’ll help campers craft short films that will premiere at a red-carpet screening in front of family and friends—a confidence-boosting moment that embodies Star Break’s mission.
“We want kids to feel seen, supported, and challenged,” Burgos emphasized. “With more than three decades of behind-the-scenes experience, we know how to craft content that stands out.”

Beyond Youth: Creative Services for All
While Star Break is focused on young creatives, its services are not limited to youth. The studio also caters to adult performers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs looking to elevate their media presence. Offerings include promotional videos, branded content, music videos, and social media-ready materials—all developed with the same professional production quality that fuels its youth programs.
“We love helping people bring their ideas to life—whether it’s a kid’s first audition reel or a business owner’s promo video,” said Burgos.
