Springtime Pediatrics in Katy Celebrates 10 Years of Personalized, Community-Focused Care

December 23 2024

Springtime Pediatrics, a community-focused pediatric practice in Katy, is gearing up to celebrate a major milestone—its 10-year anniversary. Since opening its doors in 2016, the clinic has grown from a small, six-room practice to a thriving community healthcare provider. Founded by Dr. Yasmine and Ahmed Monib, the clinic has always been focused on offering personalized, holistic care that goes beyond treating childhood illnesses to support long-term health and wellness.

"This anniversary is a huge moment for us," says Ahmed Monib, who, along with his wife Dr. Yasmine, co-owns and operates Springtime Pediatrics. "When we started, we couldn't have imagined how much we'd grow or how much we’d be able to impact this community. What started as just an idea has turned into something truly meaningful."

The Monibs, who live in nearby Richmond, chose to open Springtime Pediatrics in Katy because of the area’s rapid growth and the need for more pediatric care. "Katy was expanding, and we wanted to be part of that," says Ahmed. "It was a perfect fit for us, both personally and professionally. We've watched the community flourish, and it's been so rewarding to grow along with it."

A Vision Rooted in Family and Community

The decision to open Springtime Pediatrics came after Dr. Yasmine and Ahmed both stepped away from their corporate careers. For them, the move was driven by a desire for a better work-life balance and a shared commitment to creating a practice that offered not just excellent medical care but also a strong sense of community. "We wanted a practice that could be different," explains Ahmed. "We wanted to take the time to connect with families, offer personalized care, and make a lasting impact on the kids and parents we serve."

The clinic’s name, Springtime Pediatrics, is a reflection of the values that the Monibs hold dear. "Spring represents growth, renewal, and new beginnings," Ahmed shares. "It felt like the perfect symbol for what we wanted to create—nurturing children and helping them grow into healthy, thriving adults. It’s also a very personal name for us, as it holds religious significance, marking the season of Prophet Muhammad’s birth."

With its family-centered approach to care, Springtime Pediatrics focuses on building long-term relationships with patients. "We want to be a place where families feel like they truly matter," says Ahmed. "It's about more than just treating an illness; it's about supporting parents and empowering them with the knowledge and resources they need to raise happy, healthy children."

Growing the Team, Growing the Vision

As Springtime Pediatrics celebrates its decade of service, the practice has expanded its staff to meet the growing needs of the community. What began as a small team with just a few doctors and medical assistants has now grown to include three additional doctors and a dedicated group of support staff. "The people we've brought on board are so much more than just employees—they’re part of our family," says Ahmed.

Key team members like Becky DelaO, the clinic's Lead Clinical Medical Assistant, have been with Springtime since its early days. "Becky has been with us since day one, and her dedication to the practice has been incredible," Ahmed says. "She’s been essential in helping us create a caring and supportive environment for both our patients and staff."

Other members of the team, including HR Manager Valerie Anderson and Office Manager Jessica Baisa, have also played important roles in the clinic's success. "Valerie has a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome, and Jessica’s leadership in managing our operations has been vital as we continue to grow," says Ahmed.

At the heart of Springtime Pediatrics’ success is its commitment to fostering a positive and innovative work culture. "We encourage our staff to think creatively and to be open to new ideas," says Ahmed. "Whether it’s a new patient care initiative or a fun team-building activity, we celebrate innovation and growth within our team. Our goal is to create an environment where both our patients and staff can thrive."

Serving the Community Beyond Healthcare

Community involvement has always been a cornerstone of Springtime Pediatrics' mission. The clinic’s Parent Advisory Board (PAB) is one way they actively involve families in the clinic’s development. "We truly value feedback from the parents we serve," says Ahmed. "The Parent Advisory Board allows us to stay in tune with the community’s needs and make sure we’re meeting them. It’s a great way for parents to feel like they’re part of the process and can help shape the direction of our practice."

Additionally, Springtime Pediatrics offers programs like the New Mom’s Coffee Hour, which provides a supportive space for new mothers to share their experiences and challenges. "We’re constantly looking for ways to provide more than just medical care," explains Ahmed. "We want to offer resources that help parents feel supported as they navigate their parenting journey."

The Monibs are also deeply involved in charity work, supporting local organizations like Big Love Cancer Care, which provides financial, emotional, and physical support to children with cancer. "Giving back to the community is incredibly important to us," says Ahmed. "It’s a way for us to do our part in making the Katy area a better place for families."

Looking Toward the Future

As Springtime Pediatrics celebrates its 10-year anniversary, the Monibs are excited about the future. The clinic is expanding into a larger space to accommodate the growing demand for pediatric care in Katy, celebrating the groundbreaking of their new facility on December 20, 2024 alongside the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce. Their new home, which will be located at 1430 W Grand Pkwy, Katy, Texas 77494, will boast 9,649 square feet of space with 22 exam rooms.

"We’re thrilled about our new location," says Ahmed. "It’s a testament to the support we’ve received from the community, and we’re looking forward to continuing to serve families here for many years to come."

Beyond just growth in size, the Monibs are focused on continuing to provide a personalized, community-centered experience for their patients. "At the end of the day, it’s about the relationships we build with our families," says Ahmed. "We want every patient who walks through our doors to feel like they’re part of the Springtime family. That’s what has made the last 10 years so special, and that’s what we’ll continue to focus on moving forward."

Stacy Jacobs, VP of Business Development for the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, expressed her enthusiasm for Springtime Pediatrics’ growth, saying, "We’re so proud to celebrate both their 10th anniversary and the groundbreaking of their new facility, which is a reflection of their dedication to the community and the high-quality, personalized care they provide to Katy families."

As Springtime Pediatrics celebrates its milestone anniversary, the Monibs are reminded of the journey they’ve been on and the lasting impact they’ve made in Katy. "We’re incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished," says Ahmed. "But we’re even more excited for the future and the many more families we’ll have the privilege of serving."
