Simplify Your Furniture Donations with These Cypress Area Nonprofits Through Pickup Services

August 20 2024

When it's finally time to swap out your couch for a new one, or upgrade your bedroom suite for a fresh look, most homeowners initially consider selling their items on an online platform, or giving them away to a friend or relative. While making a little extra cash is nice, selling items to unknown individuals through the internet can be risky, and can become a hassle if potential buyers aren't biting. On the other hand, giving your items away to friends or relatives can also be a burden, leading to injuries from loading and unloading, costs to rent a truck, waiting for them to pick it up, and more.

Avoid the hassle and consider donating your furniture to a local nonprofit and make a difference in your community!

Several local nonprofits in the Cypress area offer convenient pickup services right from your home. Not only can you declutter and make space, but you can also support important causes in the process. Here’s a breakdown of some great organizations in the area and how you can easily - and conveniently - schedule a pickup:

Angels' Attic Resale by Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM)

Angels' Attic Resale is a crucial part of Cypress Assistance Ministries, using donations to provide family assistance and support those facing financial hardship. They accept a variety of items including kitchenware, furniture, toys, books, small appliances, and clothing. All items should be clean and in good working condition.

For limited furniture pickups, email Joseph Davis at josephd@cypressassistance.org with pictures of the items you wish to donate.

Hope Chest Resale Market - Cypress

Hope Chest Resale Market - Cypress offers a boutique-style shopping experience where your donations support Cy-Hope’s mission to empower underserved children. They accept household items, furniture in good condition, appliances, tools, lawn equipment, recreational gear, and even antiques.
