Seven Meadows Sailfish Swim Team Prepares for 2024 Swim Season
Summer is fast approaching, and that means swim season is just around the corner! The Seven Meadows Sailfish Swim Team is gearing up for another exciting swim season, so get the scoop on the team!
About the Seven Meadows Sailfish Swim Team
The Seven Meadows Sailfish is the local neighborhood swim team for the Seven Meadows Community in Katy, Texas. Our swim season typically kicks off at the first part of May.
Our Practice Pool is located at S. Fry and Gaston Rd.
We are a member of the West Houston Aquatic League (WHALe). We are in Division 3 this year based on our team size. There are 6 divisions total.
Age Groups (separated by boys and girls): 6 and Under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15+.
We accept swimmers ages 4 to 18.
We are a recreational summer league (so no prior swim team experience required), but we do recommend that the swimmers are comfortable in the water. We are not providing swim lessons.
After one week of practice, swimmers will need the following to qualify:
- 10 and under: swim unassisted one length of the pool (25 yards)
- 11 + : swim two lengths of the pool (50 yards)
Swim practice will focus on conditioning, technique, and stroke drills to make the swimmers faster.
