Seven Meadows Residents Can Help Fort Bend County Students Through Sheriff’s Office School Supply Drive

Seven Meadows Residents Can Help Fort Bend County Students Through Sheriff’s Office School Supply Drive

For families across Fort Bend County, the start of a new school year brings fresh routines, new teachers and the familiar task of filling backpacks with classroom essentials. For some households, however, the cost of school supplies can place added pressure on an already tight family budget.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is inviting the community, including residents of Seven Meadows, to help ease that burden through its July School Supply Drive, an outreach initiative collecting new school supplies for local students through July 31.

Donations may be dropped off in the lobby of the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at 1840 Richmond Parkway in Richmond, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Small Donations Can Make a Meaningful Difference

The school supply drive is built around a simple idea: residents do not need to fill an entire backpack on their own to make an impact. A package of pencils, a notebook or a box of crayons can become part of a larger community effort to help children arrive at school prepared and confident.

For Seven Meadows families looking for a practical way to give back before the first day of school, even one or two donated items can help strengthen the overall collection.

Organizers are encouraging residents to donate whatever they can, noting that many small contributions can quickly add up. For a child preparing for the first day of school, having the same basic supplies as classmates can offer a sense of readiness and belonging before the first lesson even begins.

The initiative also gives Fort Bend County residents a direct and practical way to support local families during the busy back-to-school season.

School Supplies Needed for the Fort Bend County Drive

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is collecting a range of commonly requested classroom supplies, including:

  • Backpacks
  • Notebooks
  • Glue sticks and bottles of glue
  • Loose-leaf paper
  • No. 2 pencils
  • Pens
  • Construction paper
  • Colored pencils
  • Tissue boxes
  • Markers
  • Crayons
  • Highlighters

These everyday items are used throughout the school year, making each donation useful well beyond the first day of class.

How and Where to Donate

Residents can bring donations to the lobby of the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, located at 1840 Richmond Parkway, Richmond, Texas.

The collection is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with donations accepted throughout the month of July and through July 31.

For residents in Seven Meadows searching for a Fort Bend County school supply drive, back-to-school donation location near Richmond or a local way to support students, the Sheriff’s Office collection provides an accessible option during regular weekday hours.

A Community Effort Ahead of the New School Year

Back-to-school shopping can feel routine, but the supplies inside a child’s backpack often shape how prepared that student feels walking into the classroom. A new notebook offers a place to begin. A sharpened pencil means a student can participate from the first assignment. A backpack gives everything a place to go.

By bringing together donations from across the county, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office School Supply Drive turns those small items into a larger message of support for local children and families. Residents have until July 31 to participate.

My Neighborhood News will continue sharing local outreach opportunities and community updates affecting Fort Bend County families.
