Senior Day Trips Presented by Harris County Precinct 4

August 16 2022

Remember taking field trips as a child? Going on an adventure with a group of your peers to experience something new and exciting was often the pinnacle of the school year. The anticipation was almost just as exciting as the field trip itself! Taking photos and sharing stories after the trip were standard procedure. And perhaps many years later, those stories are still swirling about your social circles. Memories are priceless and timeless, after all.

But field trips aren't just for school-aged children. Seniors in Harris County Precinct 4 have the opportunity to participate in day trips to attractions in Texas (within 150 miles). Organized groups with members 50 and older that meet within the boundaries of Precinct 4 can register by filling out a Trip Coordinator and Group Contact form on the Harris County Precinct 4 website. Church groups, civic associations, gardening clubs, and community service organizations are just some of the groups that are participate in Precinct 4’s transportation program.

This week, there's a trip planned to Lockhart, The Barbecue Capital of Texas. Later in the month, there's a trip scheduled to Galveston to observe and admire shorebirds, and another trip to Smith Point HawkWatch, just to name a few! Join old and new friends on exiting day trips that will fill your leisure time with fun memories. And best of all, the buses used for transportation are funded by Harris County Precinct 4. Find senior day trips in our Community Events section and reserve your spot today!
