Royal ISD School Supply Lists Are Here: What Bluestem Families Need to Know Before the First Day of School
The start of a new school year is quickly approaching, and for Bluestem families, now is the perfect time to begin checking off those back-to-school to-do lists. With the first day of classes set for Thursday, August 13, 2026, Royal ISD has released its 2026–2027 school supply lists, giving parents a chance to shop early and avoid the last-minute rush.
Because Bluestem is zoned to Royal ISD, these supply lists are an important resource for neighborhood families preparing for the new school year. While teachers will provide course-specific supply information after school begins, the district's general lists are designed to ensure students arrive prepared for a successful first week.
What Parents Can Expect
Royal ISD has published separate supply lists based on grade levels and campuses, making it easier for families to find exactly what they need.
For Royal ECC, Royal Elementary, Prairie and STEM students (Pre-K through 5th grade), lists include everyday classroom essentials such as crayons, pencils, glue sticks, notebooks, folders, dry-erase markers, tissues, disinfectant wipes, headphones, and other grade-specific supplies.

At Royal High School (9th-12th grades), the general list focuses on foundational supplies such as notebooks, folders, notebook paper, pencils, pens, composition books, colored pencils, markers, and highlighters.
