Katy First United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

Celebrate the season all month long at the Katy First United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch, open daily from October 6 through October 31. Families are invited to browse rows of bright orange pumpkins, snap fall photos, and enjoy the friendly, community atmosphere that’s become a beloved Katy tradition. Every pumpkin purchase supports the United Methodist Men’s mission work, providing scholarships and funding local community service projects.

Visitors are welcome to come take photos at the church’s festive backdrop, stroll through the patch, and pick the perfect pumpkin for decorating or carving.

Playtime in the Patch

Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025 | 10 AM–Noon
Location: Katy First United Methodist Church – Pumpkin Patch Grounds

Families with preschool and elementary-aged children are invited to Playtime in the Patch, a free morning of fun surrounded by pumpkins! The event includes storytime, crafts, and access to the open playground, offering a relaxed way for kids and parents to enjoy the fall weather together. This event is open to all—no registration or cost required.

Trunk or Treat at Katy First

Date: Sunday, October 26, 2025 | 5–7 PM
Location: Katy First United Methodist Church Parking Lot

End the month with one of Katy’s most family-friendly Halloween traditions! The annual Trunk or Treat at Katy Firstfeatures decorated cars, candy, food, a haunted house hosted by the youth group, and fun contests for costumes and dancing. The Pumpkin Patch will remain open during the event for families who want to shop, take photos, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Admission is free and open to everyone in the community.

HALTER Pumpkin Patch

Dates: October 18–19, 2025

A longtime favorite for families in the Katy area, the HALTER Pumpkin Patch returns for its 21st year on October 18–19. Hosted by HALTER, Inc.—a nonprofit that trains miniature horses as therapy animals—this weekend-only event is one of the most meaningful and memorable fall experiences around. It’s located just off Clay Road, a quick drive for families in Williamsburg Settlement, Nottingham Country, and Elyson.

Open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., the patch features pony rides, a spooky maze, petting zoo, carnival games, and pumpkin decorating. Admission is $5 per person (free for kids under 2), with parking available for $5 and activity tickets sold separately.
