New Restaurant Alert: FiiZ Drinks in Jordan Ranch

FiiZ Drinks, a family-friendly soda shop, is coming to Jordan Ranch. Serving up specialty sodas, smoothies, coffees and snacks, this neighborhood spot promises to be reminiscent of soda shops from yester year but with a modern twist.
Katy-area residents and owners of FiiZ in Katy, Tyler and Heather Nelson, are thrilled to bring the FiiZ experience to their neighbors. Originating in Bountiful, Utah in 2014, there are now over 50 locations across the country, but only two in the Greater Houston area.
| Sharing FiiZ with the Katy community means so much more to the Nelson family than just a source of income. With three daughters, ages 16, 12 and 8, Tyler and Heather want the soda shop to be an opportunity for their family to come together as a team in service of their community. They also want the shop to be a platform for their daughters to learn the value of hard work and build strong work ethic. Their 16-year-old daughter has established herself as the social media and marketing guru of this family operation, while their younger daughters have been practicing how to work the drive-through and help out in various capacities around the shop. |  |
“If we can show our kids and other kids in the community how to work hard and serve other people, we can strengthen our community,” said Tyler.
The Nelson’s envision their FiiZ location to be a welcoming place where kids can ride their bikes to the shop and enjoy a special treat with friends, dads can bring their daughters for daddy-daughter dates, friends can meet up to watch a sports game and caffeine lovers can get their caffeine fix for the day.
“There’s something for everyone. You can come in and have a safe, family friendly environment to spend some wholesome time together to have a snack and a treat,” said Heather.
With 56 different kinds of syrup that can be added to their soda bases, the possibilities are endless. Experiment and mix flavors for a unique, custom beverage that will have you coming back time and time again. FiiZ also offers smoothies, hot chocolate, and specialty coffees along with sweet and salty snacks like “chonuts”, a delectable churro-inspired donut, nachos, soft pretzels, popcorn and more.
For customers who want to take a trip on the wild side, FiiZ serves an assortment of drinks concocted with add-ons like candy such as the “Sharks in the Water” drink for kids, which features blue raspberry Sprite with gummy sharks floating on top. The “Snowman in Summer” drink for kids is sure to delight with blue raspberry Sprite, cream whip and candy that resembles a melted snowman.
Drinks start at just $2.00. And best of all, FiiZ in Katy is offering discounted drinks at their grand opening set to take place on Saturday, October 8. From 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, stop by to check out the menu, play a game of tic-tac-toe or Connect 4 (they are on every table) and enjoy the afternoon with family and friends in this charming soda shop nestled in the heart of Jordan Ranch. The shop is located at 2340 Texas Heritage Parkway, Katy, TX 77494. Regular shop hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM, Friday from 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM, and Saturday 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM. FiiZ Katy will be closed on Sundays for family time so they can recharge their batteries and prepare to continue serving the Katy community the following week.
