New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside Expands with Chick-fil-A, Chase Bank, CAVA, Potbelly and More New Businesses
Residents looking for more places to grab lunch, meet friends, run errands or enjoy a family outing will soon have even more options at New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside. The growing shopping and dining destination is welcoming new restaurants, preparing for additional business openings and moving forward with construction on two major additions expected to be completed in 2027.
CAVA and Potbelly have officially opened, while Chipotle is preparing to welcome customers in a newly constructed retail building that will also house Menchie's Frozen Yogurt and Blo Dry Bar. Meanwhile, Chick-fil-A and Chase Bank have broken ground along FM 306, marking another step in the continued expansion of one of New Braunfels' busiest commercial areas.
For residents of New Braunfels and surrounding Comal County communities, the additions mean more dining choices, convenient services and opportunities to shop closer to home as the Interstate 35 corridor continues to attract new businesses and development.
CAVA and Potbelly Now Open as Chipotle, Menchie's and Blo Dry Bar Join Creekside
The latest wave of New Braunfels business openings is taking shape in a newly built, fully leased multi-tenant retail building at New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside.
CAVA, the Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant known for customizable bowls and pitas, and Potbelly, the sandwich chain recognized for its toasted sandwiches, have already opened their doors.
Chipotle Mexican Grill is expected to open soon, although a specific opening date was not provided in NewQuest's announcement.
The building will also welcome Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, offering a family-friendly dessert option, and Blo Dry Bar, a salon specializing in professional blowouts and hairstyling.
Together, the businesses add a mix of quick-service dining, treats and personal care services to Creekside, giving families, workers and visitors additional reasons to stop by throughout the day.
The building sits between the future Chick-fil-A and Chase Bank locations along FM 306, positioning the new tenants near two additional developments currently under construction.
Chick-fil-A and Chase Bank Break Ground in New Braunfels with 2027 Completion Targets
Two more recognizable national brands are moving closer to opening at Creekside.
Construction has begun on a 1.56-acre site for Chick-fil-A and a separate 0.75-acre parcel for Chase Bank. According to Houston-based commercial real estate developer NewQuest, both projects are scheduled for completion during the second quarter of 2027, between April and June.
The new Chick-fil-A will become the restaurant chain's third location in New Braunfels, expanding its presence in a city where continued residential and commercial growth has created demand for additional dining options.
"Chick-fil-A is a beloved brand that will be a strong attraction for the southeastern side of the development," said Kevin Sims, senior vice president and leasing director at NewQuest.
Chase Bank will mark a different milestone for the shopping center. It will become the first financial institution to lease space within NewQuest's Creekside development.
The bank is planned near an FM 306 entrance, diagonally across from Sprouts Farmers Market, providing another financial services option in the growing commercial district.
Both properties will occupy prominent locations along the FM 306 frontage, an area NewQuest has identified for continued retail development.
Creekside Expansion Includes Plans for 100,000 Square Feet of Additional Retail Space
The new openings and groundbreakings are part of a larger expansion strategy for New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside.
Earlier in 2026, NewQuest announced plans to develop another 100,000 square feet of retail space, with much of that construction concentrated on the southeastern portion of the property near the intersection of FM 306 and Sophie Lane.
That area is also where the new Chick-fil-A will be located.
The broader Creekside development encompasses approximately 400 acres at the junction of Interstate 35 and FM 306 in Comal County, making it a major commercial destination for New Braunfels and surrounding communities.
According to NewQuest, the development already contains approximately one million square feet of completed commercial space, with 97% of that space leased. With nearly all of its existing space leased, Creekside continues to attract businesses as plans move forward for even more shops and restaurants.
NewQuest senior vice presidents Kevin Sims and Nick Ramsey oversee leasing at Creekside.
"Creekside historically has attracted strong brands and category leaders," Sims said. "That continues to be the case with the final phase of construction."
Why New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside Continues to Attract Businesses
Creekside's location along Interstate 35 helps connect the shopping center with customers traveling throughout the New Braunfels area and the broader San Antonio-Austin corridor.
The development brings together shopping, dining, entertainment and everyday services in one commercial district, making it a convenient destination for residents who want to accomplish several errands in a single trip.
NewQuest also points to substantial visitor traffic as an indication of Creekside's regional reach.
According to location analytics company Placer.ai, the development recorded approximately 6.9 million visits over the past year, a figure cited by NewQuest in its announcement. With so many people visiting Creekside, it's easy to see why more restaurants, shops and businesses want to be part of it.
For businesses, an established shopping destination can offer access to customers already visiting neighboring stores and restaurants. For residents, the concentration of businesses provides additional convenience and variety.
The ongoing investment also reflects the larger commercial changes taking place in New Braunfels, where growth has brought new demands for restaurants, retail services and neighborhood amenities.
While additional development can create opportunities for local employment and business activity, it also makes transportation access and traffic patterns important considerations, particularly around heavily traveled corridors such as I-35 and FM 306.
What New Braunfels Residents Can Expect Next at Creekside
Residents planning to visit the New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside can expect additional business activity over the coming months as tenants prepare to open and construction continues.
CAVA and Potbelly are already operating, while Chipotle is expected to open soon. Menchie's Frozen Yogurt and Blo Dry Bar are also planned for the new multi-tenant building, although specific opening dates were not announced.
Chick-fil-A and Chase Bank are targeting completion in the second quarter of 2027. Those projected construction timelines do not necessarily represent confirmed grand opening dates.
Additional retail development is also planned along the FM 306 and Sophie Lane area as NewQuest continues work on its previously announced 100,000-square-foot expansion.
For New Braunfels families, the changes are another example of how familiar shopping destinations are evolving alongside the community. What begins as a new restaurant or storefront can become part of everyday routines, from picking up dinner after a busy school day to meeting friends for lunch or taking care of errands on the weekend.
As Creekside continues to grow, its newest additions will help shape where residents shop, dine and spend time in the years ahead.
