Meet Royal ISD's New Campus Principals: Bluestem Families Invited to Welcome Event on July 22
With the first day of school just weeks away, Royal ISD is giving families an opportunity to put faces with names before classrooms fill and the school year gets underway. For Bluestem residents whose students attend Royal ISD, the district's upcoming Meet the New Principals event offers a chance to connect with the educators who will be leading several campuses this year while meeting fellow families from across the district.
Building relationships between families and school leaders early in the year can help set a positive tone for the months ahead. Whether parents have students entering a new campus, returning for another year, or simply want to become more involved in their school community, the event provides a relaxed opportunity to introduce themselves and learn more about their campus leadership.
Royal ISD Welcomes New Campus Leaders
Royal ISD will host its Meet the New Principals event on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, with separate welcome gatherings at each campus.
Families are invited to stop by their campus, meet the new principal, connect with teachers and neighbors, and celebrate the beginning of another school year.

Time: 5:00-6:00 p.m.
Royal Junior High
Principal: Dr. Felecia Carrington
Time: 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Royal Prairie Elementary
Principal: Daniel Martinez
Time: 6:00-7:00 p.m.

As campuses prepare to welcome students back on Thursday, Aug. 13, events like this give families an opportunity to begin building relationships that often continue throughout the school year.
