For families in Magnolia Springs looking for a nearby way to enjoy the season while supporting small businesses, a new community event is being added to the fall calendar.

The City of Magnolia is preparing to host its first annual Fall Festival at Unity Park on November 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with plans for a day centered on family fun, shopping, food and community connections. Organizers are also putting out a call for additional vendors as they build a limited, intentionally curated marketplace for the inaugural event.

Magnolia Fall Festival Brings a New Community Tradition to Unity Park

The Fall Festival is being planned as an all-ages gathering at Unity Park in Magnolia, Texas, giving residents from Magnolia and surrounding communities, including Magnolia Springs, another local option for enjoying fall without traveling far from home.

Rather than filling the grounds with as many booths as possible, organizers say vendor spaces are being kept limited and vendors will be selected based on variety and overall fit. The goal is to create a mix of businesses and products that gives festival visitors something different to discover as they walk through the event.

That approach could also give participating small businesses more opportunity to connect directly with shoppers and introduce their products to local families.

Vendors Already Include Food, Drinks, Crafts and More

The growing vendor lineup already includes several popular festival favorites and specialty businesses. Organizers say confirmed offerings currently include dirty sodas, lemonade, jams and jellies, sweets and cookies, ice cream, beaded crafts and badge reels, shaved ice and hot dogs, permanent jewelry, roasted corn and coffee.

Additional applications are being sought from boutiques, handmade and unique vendors, local makers, food vendors, specialty businesses and other small businesses that can add something different to the event.

For Magnolia Springs residents, the mix means the festival is shaping up to be more than a quick stop for food. It is being designed as a place where families can spend part of the day browsing locally made goods, meeting area business owners and enjoying a seasonal community outing.

Vendor Applications Are Limited

Businesses interested in becoming a vendor are encouraged to apply early because spaces are limited and participation is not automatic.

The City of Magnolia is looking for vendors that complement the overall mix of the festival while avoiding too much duplication among products and services. That selective approach is intended to create a better experience for both shoppers and participating businesses.
