Lowe’s West Katy to Host First-Ever Farmers Market Oct. 3 for Local Shoppers and Vendors
A trip to Lowe’s will come with a little something extra in West Katy this October.
Lowe’s of West Katy #3526 will host its first-ever farmers market on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 981 Heritage Oak Lane, Katy, TX 77494, giving local makers, small businesses and other vendors a chance to meet shoppers face-to-face.
For residents in Bluestem and surrounding West Katy communities, the event offers another local Saturday outing as Texas Heritage Marketplace continues coming to life.
Vendor Applications Now Open
Lowe’s is currently accepting applications for the market, with participation limited to no more than three sellers per category.
Interested vendors can pick up an information sheet at the store’s customer service desk. Completed applications are due by Wednesday, Sept. 30.
“We so look forward to what is going to be an amazing day connecting with the community,” Lowe’s of West Katy said in announcing the event.
A final vendor lineup has not yet been released.
A New Community Event at Texas Heritage Marketplace
The farmers market comes just weeks after the West Katy Lowe’s opened Sept. 4 at Texas Heritage Marketplace, the large mixed-use development near Interstate 10 and Texas Heritage Parkway.
The roughly 95,000-square-foot store, along with its outdoor garden center, is one of the first major anchors to open at the growing development.
While Lowe’s is best known for home improvement, tools, appliances and lawn and garden products, its first farmers market adds a more community-focused element to the new location.
For local entrepreneurs, the event could also provide valuable exposure to shoppers living in fast-growing West Katy, Fulshear and Waller County communities.
