Lowery Elementary Student Authors First Book
Lowery Elementary School fourth grade student Maximo Luna recently completed his first graphic novel, Super Luna Adventures. The book is available in both English and Spanish, and is inspired by Maximo’s dog, Luna.
Maximo worked on the graphic novel for a year before completing it this spring. He published the paperback edition on Amazon on April 10, and recently had his first book signing.
Dr. Mark Henry, CFISD superintendent of schools, visited Lowery on May 4 to congratulate Maximo on his big achievement.
“We are all so proud of Maximo. He has a great imagination and exciting ideas and brought them to life in his new book,” said April Wright, Lowery principal. “This fourth grader spent a full year writing, editing, planning and revising his book in both English and Spanish. That takes true grit and determination. We are all so Lowery PROUD of Maximo!”
