Lamar CISD Gears Up for the 2024-2025 School Year with Back to School Block Party

July 10 2024

It's nearing that time of year again when students, families, and the community come together to mark the start of another academic year. For 2024-2025, this tradition continues with the highly anticipated Lamar CISD Back to School Block Party, designed to kick off the school year in style on Saturday, August 3, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Block Party is an annual event that provides the Lamar CISD community with a fun and engaging opportunity to reunite after the summer break. Set to take place at Lamar Consolidated High School and Traylor Stadium at 4606 Mustang Avenue, Rosenberg, Texas 77471, the school district is eager to bring everyone together to celebrate the start of another successful school year.

The carnival-style event is set to be a vibrant festival of fun, food, and engaging festivities. Audiences can look forward to a selection of lively music and impressive student performances that promise to add a dose of entertainment to the event. A variety of games, inflatables, and obstacle courses will be available for those seeking a bit of amusement and challenge.  But it's not all about fun and games. The block party is also a platform for family engagement activities and educational experiences.

Furthermore, the event will provide an opportunity for attendees to meet their campus principal and staff. This open, friendly environment provides a perfect setting for building rapport and fostering stronger bonds within the school community.

With such an exciting array of activities and the chance to engage with the school's leadership team, the Lamar CISD Back to School Block Party is not just a celebration of a new academic year. It's a celebration of community, unity, and a shared commitment to education. To learn more about volunteering or sponsoring this event, visit the event website here.
