From fresh fashion to frozen treats, Katy Mills is adding new retail experiences for families, fashionistas, and collectors alike. The mall recently welcomed two new stores — Vineyard Vines and La Michoacana Ice Cream — with more anticipated openings just around the corner.

Vineyard Vines, a brand best known for its signature pink whale and coastal-inspired fashion, officially opened its doors in August near Victoria’s Secret. With a range of preppy styles for men, women, and kids, the retailer brings its New England roots to Katy. The brand began in 1998 in Martha’s Vineyard and now operates over 100 locations nationwide.

Just a few storefronts away near Burlington, La Michoacana Ice Cream arrived this month, bringing a taste of tradition with its colorful lineup of Mexican-style frozen desserts. Known for its paletas, nieves, and creamy helados, La Michoacán Ice Cream can also be found in grocery stores and major retailers across the country the country.

And the retail momentum isn’t slowing down. Four more stores are slated to open in the coming weeks and months:

• Cabi – Set to open near Marshall’s in September, Cabi (short for Carol Anderson by Invitation) is a women’s fashion label based in the U.S., offering thoughtfully designed, versatile pieces that balance professional polish with everyday ease. Cabi has built a unique following through both in-store and at-home styling sessions across the country.

• Pika Park – Also opening in September near Burlington, Pika Park is a haven for pop culture fans and collectors. With a mix of anime figurines, novelty toys, and tech gadgets, the store appeals to hobbyists of all ages.

• Ann Taylor Factory Store – Launching in October near Sephora, this outlet version of the iconic American fashion brand offers elevated yet wearable wardrobe staples at a discount. Ann Taylor Factory Stores cater to women seeking feminine silhouettes and sophisticated workwear — and there are nearly 100 locations in the U.S.

• Primark – Perhaps the most anticipated addition to Katy Mills, Primark is opening later this fall near H&M. The global fashion retailer, which originated in Ireland in 1969, is known for its trendy apparel, beauty products, and home essentials — all at budget-friendly prices. With more than 400 stores worldwide and a growing U.S. presence, this will be Primark’s first store in the Greater Houston area. Hiring is already underway at the Primark Hiring Center in Suite 445.

Opened in 1999, Katy Mills has been a staple in the community for over two decades, offering a mix of outlet shopping, dining, and entertainment all under one roof. Built on what was once rice field land, the mall has grown alongside the city of Katy, adapting over the years to reflect the area’s rapid development and changing retail trends. Today, it continues to attract shoppers from across West Houston and beyond.
