Katy Joins 'Brew City, Texas' Program to Celebrate No Label Brewing Co. and Put Local Craft Beer on the Map
The City of Katy is officially raising a glass to its homegrown craft beer scene.
In a toast to local flavor, community pride, and small business success, Katy has joined the Brew City, Texas program—an exciting statewide effort created by the Texas Craft Brewers Guild to promote craft beer tourism and economic development across Texas. And at the center of it all? Katy’s beloved hometown brewery, No Label Brewing Co., which celebrates 15 years of pouring beers and bringing people together this month.
For many in Katy, No Label isn’t just a brewery—it’s a gathering place, a creative force, and a heartbeat of the community. Now, thanks to this new partnership, Katy joins cities like Austin, Waco, Georgetown, and McKinney in proudly promoting its local craft beer culture to visitors from across the state and beyond.
A Homegrown Brewery Worth Celebrating
The decision to join Brew City, Texas was driven by Kaci Maris, Tourism and Marketing Events Coordinator for the City of Katy, who saw the program as a perfect fit for the city’s goals to grow tourism, support local businesses, and celebrate community roots.
“In 2025, I learned about the Brew City, Texas program and began researching its benefits,” Maris said. “After discussions with program directors and other participating city leaders, it was clear this initiative was a perfect fit for Katy and our goals to promote tourism, support local business, and position our city as one of Texas’ premier destination communities.”

Since opening in 2010 in an old rice silo near Katy’s historic downtown, No Label Brewing Co. has become a symbol of what makes Katy special. From Friday night food trucks and family-friendly festivals to art markets, charity events, and live music on the weekends, the brewery has long been a place where community happens—pint by pint.
Their beer lineup is no less impressive. Favorites like El Hefe (a top-selling Houston-area Hefeweizen), Perpetual Peace(a bold barrel-aged Scotch ale), and Cali Boy (a crisp West Coast IPA) have helped the brewery collect over 80 major awards. They’ve also racked up more than 30 Crushie Awards for branding, marketing, and “Coolest Taproom,” putting them in rare company statewide.
Putting Katy on the Texas Craft Beer Map
With craft beer fans traveling more than ever for local brews, Katy’s new “Brew City” status puts the city on the map for a whole new kind of tourism. According to travel research, 80% of visitors research food and drink options before their trip, and 70% choose destinations based on unique culinary and beverage offerings.
Katy's addition to Brew City, Texas supports both tourism and small business growth, while highlighting the power of craft beer to connect communities.
“No Label Brewing Co. has been an incredible community partner—hosting beloved events, supporting local causes, and earning world-class recognition for their award-winning beers,” Maris said. “Their success makes them a perfect fit for Katy, the Home of Champions, and joining the Brew City, Texas program was an easy way for us to celebrate and support that spirit.”
