Katy ISD's Culinary Arts Students to Host Pop-Up Bistro This Week
This week, students in Katy ISD's Miller Culinary Arts department will be serving up breakfast in their newly renovated space, Old Town Bistro.
Located at 1734 Katyland Drive in Katy, this student-run bistro will be open on Thursday, February 16 and Friday, February 17 from 7:30-8:30 AM and 9:05-10:05 AM. On Thursday, the Bistro will also be open in the afternoon from 1:15-2:15 PM, as well as Friday afternoon from 12:30-1:30 PM.
Students enrolled in the program recently completed their breakfast unit. To showcase their new skills, menu items will include eggs your way, eggs Benedict, French omelet, strawberry Nutella crepes and chicken and waffles, plus an assortment of drinks including specialty coffees, hot chocolate and soda. All food items are priced at $9.00 each and drinks range in cost from $1.00 to $3.00.

About Miller Culinary Arts
Culinary Arts is a two-year program available at Katy ISD's Miller Career & Technology Center. Students will learn advanced culinary skills in our newly renovated commercial kitchen areas. They will also gain experience running our onsite Bistro and quick service counter. The Miller Career & Technology Center enrollment period for the 2023-2024 school year is open through Friday, March 3rd at 11:59 PM for current Katy ISD 10th and 11th grade students.
