Katy ISD Class of 2025 Graduation Ceremonies Kick Off May 14
As graduation week approaches, Katy ISD is set to honor the Class of 2025 with a series of evening ceremonies at Legacy Stadium. From Wednesday, May 14, through Thursday, May 22, each high school will take its turn under the stadium lights in what has become a cherished district tradition.
Each ceremony will conclude with a 45-second firework display, a moment of celebration that lights up the sky for graduates and families alike. These fireworks typically occur between 9:30 p.m. and 9:55 p.m., depending on the size of the graduating class.
Safety First at Graduation Events
District officials have emphasized their commitment to community safety throughout the celebration period. A professional pyrotechnics company has been contracted for the displays, and trained safety staff will be assigned to every ceremony to monitor operations. Katy ISD has secured all required permits and licensing through the City of Katy, ensuring compliance with city regulations.
“We want our families and neighbors to enjoy the moment while knowing that all proper precautions have been taken,” the district noted in its announcement.

2025 Katy ISD Graduation Ceremony Schedule
All ceremonies will be held at Legacy Stadium, located at 1830 Katyland Drive in Katy, beginning at 8:00 PM unless otherwise noted. Here's the full schedule:

- Jordan High School – Thursday, May 15, 2025
- Paetow High School – Friday, May 16, 2025
- Katy High School – Saturday, May 17, 2025
- Taylor High School – Sunday, May 18, 2025
- Mayde Creek High School – Monday, May 19, 2025
- Cinco Ranch High School – Tuesday, May 20, 2025
- Morton Ranch High School – Wednesday, May 21, 2025
- Seven Lakes High School – Thursday, May 22, 2025
Community members should expect increased traffic in the area of Legacy Stadium each evening and are encouraged to plan accordingly.
