Katy Community Expo and Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show Unite for Major Event at Merrell Center Aug. 23–24
This weekend, Katy will be home to one of the region’s largest community shopping and lifestyle events as two powerhouse women entrepreneurs bring their signature shows under one roof. On August 23–24, 2025, the Merrell Center will host a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the Katy Community Expo, produced by the Home for the Holidays Gift Market, and the Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show, drawing more than 5,000 attendees from across Katy and Greater Houston.
The combined Katy Community Expo promises an unmatched experience for families, shoppers, and homeowners. With more than 175 vendors and exhibitors, guests will be able to explore handcrafted goods, boutique fashion, home improvement solutions, outdoor living displays, and family-friendly activities—all in one weekend.
“We’ve always believed in the power of community,” said Stacie Bowles, founder of the Home for the Holidays Gift Market. “By bringing our events together, we’re creating a space where local entrepreneurs, artisans, and service providers can thrive and build real connections with the public.”

Bowles’ Katy Community Expo highlights local vendors, small businesses, and artisans who travel the Texas market circuit. The event also includes health and wellness booths, nonprofit donation stations, and family-focused activities that help keep dollars local while building community spirit.
On the other side, Robyn Cade, president of RJC Productions and producer of the Katy Home & Outdoor Living Show, is bringing the region’s largest showcase of home design, gardening, and lifestyle exhibits. Guests can look forward to container gardening workshops, free bingo with prizes, the Kid’s Nature Nook presented by The Wild School, a Thrive After 55+ Expo, Ask-a-Master Gardener sessions, and even a Biblical Archaeology Museum.
“We’re thrilled to offer a one-of-a-kind experience for families, homeowners, and anyone who values supporting local businesses,” said Robyn Cade. “This partnership truly elevates what a community show can be.”
For attendees, organizers recommend mapping out the weekend ahead of time. Both event websites feature vendor lists, schedules, and exclusive specials. Savvy shoppers can plan their routes, save time, and take advantage of giveaways and demonstrations. With hundreds of booths to explore, visitors are encouraged to come ready for a girls’ weekend, a family day, or simply a chance to shop smart and discover hidden treasures.
