Houston SPCA Pet of the Week: Austin

August 09 2023

Meet Austin, a one year-old male Border Collie Mix who's ready for a fresh peaceful start!

A Message from Austin

I remember being a young, lost puppy when I was first brought to the Houston SPCA. I'm a little bigger now but they still welcomed me with open arms. Throughout the Summer I met so many kids that were so loving with me. Critter Camp may be over but my search for a new family continues.

Because my life has been a little hectic, I'm longing for a peaceful new start. We're all guilty of being nervous when meeting new people but patience and treats go a long way. I hope someone can give me a chance to showcase my quirky personality. I've been at the Houston SPCA for more than 80 days, but good things come to those who wait.

I am a Very Important Pup (VIP) which means my adoption fee is only $10! I hope to see you this weekend! Let’s hang out in our play yard and you can also meet my other roommates! I'm available for $10, including my microchip, spay/neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccinations, a free sample bag of Hill’s Pet Nutrition, and a free post-exam from any VCA Animal Hospital.

The Adoption Center is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adoptions are open daily Monday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can view all the available pets in advance at houstonspca.org. To learn more about Houston SPCA, please visit their website at houstonspca.org
