Hearthstone Heatwaves Gearing Up for 2024 Swim Season

Board member terms are up this year and nominations for board positions are welcomed at this time. The current board members are happy to serve again if everyone agrees. Please reply to this email in the affirmative if you are in agreement with the current board make-up.

 

As of now we have an opening for the SECRETARY position that needs to be filled. Please respond back to this email if interested in that role. It needs to be filled ASAP.

 

As you are all very aware summer summer swim is only successful because of volunteer participation. We have had many of our NWAL officials retire from summer swim over the last couple of years. We NEED 4-5 individuals to step into an NWAL official role this year. This has to happen so we can run meets. If you’re interested please respond back to this email so we can place you on a reminder email for more information on how to sign up. Please consider helping our team in this capacity! To become an NWAL official, certification requires an in person class and online test. Class locations and dates will be announced in mid to late March and all the classes take place durning the month of April. Once classes have been attended your online testing will be made available through the NWAL certified website. Unfortunately, as you can see it is a short time frame that NWAL opens up training dates/locations. In previous years trainings have been held in Tomball, Cypress and the Woodlands. We are looking at compiling a list of people NOW so that when training dats/locations open up we can get people plugged in. The website is nwalcertified.org but it wont have any info until it opens mid to late March. Stay tuned for more details.

 

Swim Team REGISTRATION will OPEN THIS MONTH!! We really want to grow our team. Please start sharing with your family, friends and neighbors about the FUN we have on SWIM TEAM! The NWAL rule is, that anyone can join swim team as long as their neighborhood doesn’t belong to another NWAL swim team. In the event that a prospective swimmer wants to join the Hearthstone Heatwaves but is currently zoned to another NWAL swim team waivers can be submitted for approval. Please feel free to share any ideas on how to grow our team. We are all ears!
