Harmony Science Academy Bridgeland to Add $34M Middle and High School Campus in Cypress by 2028
Harmony Science Academy is moving forward with its plans to expand its presence in the rapidly growing Bridgeland community of Cypress. The charter school network has filed a permit for Phase II of its Bridgeland campus, which will introduce a new middle and high school facility at 12800 Creekland Village Drive, Cypress, TX 77433. This expansion aims to meet the rising demand for charter school education in Northwest Harris County and beyond.
According to state filings, the two-story, 81,616-square-foot building will feature new classrooms, science labs, a cafeteria, and a gymnasium. The project is expected to begin construction in early August 2026, with completion targeted for early September 2028. The estimated construction cost is $34.38 million, with architectural plans provided by LDDBlueline.
This second phase of the Harmony Science Academy-Bridgeland campus will accommodate approximately 850 students in grades 7–12, complementing the existing elementary school for grades K–6 that opened in August 2025. Phase I, which broke ground in May 2024, currently serves 650 students and marked Harmony’s growing footprint in the Cypress area.

The expansion comes amid rising interest in public charter schools across Texas. According to a 2023 report by the Texas Public Charter Schools Association (TPCSA), enrollment in public charter schools has increased by nearly 60% over the past decade, and more than 66,000 students remain on waiting lists statewide. The report notes that “families are seeking more personalized and innovative education options,” particularly in fast-growing suburban communities like Cypress.
Harmony’s Mission and Community Impact
Harmony Public Schools aims to provide a safe, caring, and academically rigorous environment, preparing students not just for college, but for future careers and responsible citizenship. Core values such as High Expectations, Dedicated Staff, Character, and STEM for All are central to Harmony’s model. Each school in the network seeks to foster a strong community partnership between students, families, and staff.
The Bridgeland campus aims to embody this mission. As one of the newest additions to the Harmony system, it is already serving as a vital educational hub for Cypress families and stands poised to expand its role with the upcoming middle and high school facility.
A Growing Need in Cypress
With rapid residential development and a surge in young families moving to the Cypress area, education infrastructure is under increasing pressure. Charter schools like Harmony help ease that strain by offering tuition-free public school options that focus on college readiness and STEM career pathways.
