Before Halloween night's trick-or-treating, Wimbledon Estates neighbors can put their costumes to use at the fourth annual Wimbledon Run, Walk, JOLT & BOLT. The neighborhood race returns Saturday, October 31, 2026, with two distances and a chance to support local young runners.

The one-mile fun run begins at 8 a.m. for children ages 12 and under. The all-ages 5K begins at 8:20 a.m. Both races start and finish at Wimbledon neighborhood park, 16400 Sir William Drive in Spring. Runners and walkers are welcome, and costumes are encouraged.

What to Know Before Race Morning

Event parking is at Giammalva Racquet Club. Participants should allow time to park and reach the starting area before their race begins. The course is not chip timed, although a race clock will be at the finish line. Awards are planned for the top male and female finishers in each distance.

The official race page lists a $20 price for the one-mile run and $25 for the 5K, before signup fees. Its registration widget and event description show different closing dates, and shirt availability is limited. Supporting the Wimbledon Bolts

Race proceeds benefit the Wimbledon Bolts youth cross-country team. Organizer Amy Nuzman says the program has run for seven seasons and includes about 40 elementary and middle school children who practice at the neighborhood park and race against area teams. The Halloween event gives those young runners a finish to their season and invites neighbors to join them on the course.

Families who plan to participate can choose the one-mile run or 5K that fits their ages and interests, then confirm current signup details directly with the organizer before race day.
