H-E-B Offers Discount on School Supplies and Select Household Items for Educators

July 24 2024

In a show of appreciation for the tireless work of educators, H-E-B is offering a significant discount on school supplies for teachers. This initiative, under their "H-E-B Loves Our Texas Teachers" campaign, extends a 20% discount to teachers on a plethora of school and office supplies, as well as select household essentials.

The discount offer is valid from July 17, 2024, to August 31, 2024 and can result in maximum savings of up to $50 per transaction. Items eligible for the discount include a wide range, from pens, pencils, notebooks to disinfecting sprays, paper towels, and food storage bags. Although many students will be shopping for their own school supplies, teachers across the nation continue to purchase school supplies for their classrooms.

According to the National Education Association, educators frequently spend between $500 and $750 of their own money each year on supplies for their students. Over the past two years, inflation has reached its highest level in four decades, causing the prices for school supplies to rise nearly 24 percent. Despite low wages, educators continue to personally fund their classrooms to ensure that students feel prepared and engaged in their education.

To redeem the offer, teachers can either scan the barcode in-store or use the promo code HEBTEACHER20 for online purchases at HEB.com. However, online purchases must be scheduled for pickup/delivery by September 7, 2024, to qualify for the discount. According to H-E-B's website, teachers from preschool levels to K-12 are eligible for this offer, strictly for individual classroom use.
