When Tyler Waggoner decided to open Waggoner Roofing & Restorations in 2021, it wasn’t just a business decision—it was a commitment to his community. Living in Richmond’s Pecan Grove neighborhood with his wife, Sarah, and their 8-month-old daughter, Tyler saw an opportunity to blend his passion for roofing with his love for the Katy area. "Katy is more than just a location for us; it’s where our hearts are," he explained. "This is where we want to raise our family and build a legacy for years to come."
Tyler’s journey into the roofing industry began in 2019 when he transitioned from building luxury homes in River Oaks to becoming a roofing salesman. The work quickly became more than a job. "I saw how roofing could transform homes and help people protect their investments, especially when navigating the often complex insurance claims process," Tyler said. "That’s when I knew I wanted to scale my passion for construction and customer service into a full-fledged business."

Today, Waggoner Roofing is known for its commitment to exceptional quality, integrity, and customer relationships. Tyler’s experience working with Maranatha Homes and as a superintendent in luxury homebuilding laid the foundation for the business’s focus on premium materials, craftsmanship, and transparent service. One of the key pillars of Waggoner Roofing’s success is its dedication to giving back. In 2024, the company became the largest donor to DwellingsNow, a charity focused on building homes for families in need in Roatan, Honduras. Tyler emphasized that giving back to the community is integral to their business philosophy. "We don’t just want to make a difference in people’s homes; we want to make a difference in their lives," he said. "Supporting DwellingsNow aligns with our mission to help others and create a positive impact."
