Free Job-Search Workshop at Mission Bend Library Empowers Lakemont Residents with Online Tools
Residents in the Mission Bend area considering a career change or seeking new employment opportunities are invited to a free, hands-on job-search workshop hosted by Fort Bend County Libraries’ Mission Bend Branch Library on Monday, July 28, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The session, titled “Job-Search Databases & Online Resources,” will take place in the library’s Computer Lab, located at 8421 Addicks Clodine Road, and is open to the public at no cost. Seating is limited, and registration is required.
Designed to meet the needs of job hunters across all experience levels, the workshop provides a valuable introduction to two of the most widely used digital tools for career advancement: LinkedIn Learning for Libraries and Big Interview. These resources are available free of charge to Fort Bend County Library cardholders, but many residents are still unaware of their capabilities.
During the session, library staff will demonstrate how to access and navigate these tools. Attendees will learn how to build attention-grabbing resumés, improve interview skills, and sharpen technical and soft skills to stay competitive in today’s job market.
