Families looking for a free Halloween activity in San Antonio and Bexar County will have a chance to trade the living-room television for a much bigger screen this October.

Bexar County Parks and Recreation is bringing its Friday Night Flicks series to Pletz Park on Friday, Oct. 9, with a free outdoor showing of the family Halloween movie “Casper.” The event gives parents, children and friends an opportunity to spend an autumn evening together outdoors without adding another admission charge to the family calendar.

The movie is expected to begin at approximately 7:30 p.m., around dusk, at Pletz Park, 3831 Belgium Lane in San Antonio.
