Fort Bend County Kids & Cops Summer Camp: Investing in Future Leaders Through Engagement and Empowerment
Fort Bend County Kids & Cops, Inc., a non-profit organization made up of dedicated deputies from the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, has announced the opening of registration for its 27th annual Summer Camp. This year, the camp is open to students ages 10, 11, and 12 in the Fort Bend, Needville, and Lamar Consolidated Independent School Districts.
Adding value to society beyond their law enforcement duties, the deputies involved in this noble initiative aim to foster a positive environment for the youth of the county, providing them with an atmosphere that promotes leadership, team building, motivation, and problem-solving techniques.
Among the dedicated deputies taking part are Deputy Rock Savage, Deputy Frank Davis Jr., Deputy Lupe DelaRosa, Deputy Michael Messina, Deputy Branden Smith, and Deputy Chancellor Nichols. Each brings a unique and personal approach to their interactions with the children, aiming to guide them towards making good choices and preparing them for the real world.
The summer camp, which is filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, provides an opportunity for these deputies to reach out to school-aged children with a positive message about life and growing up. The camp aims to promote leadership skills, boost self-esteem, and advocate teamwork through several weekly sessions throughout the summer.
The camp dates for 2024 are scheduled as follows: June 3-6 at Sartartia Middle School; June 10-13 at Wessendorff Middle School; June 24-27 at Needville High School; July 8-11 at Lake Olympia Middle School; July 15-18 at Reading Junior High; and July 22-25 at Bowie Middle School.
Interested parties can now register their children for these scheduled camps by visiting fortbendkidsandcops.org. The Fort Bend County Kids & Cops team encourages early registration to ensure your child's place in this enriching experience.
This summer, Fort Bend County Kids & Cops, Inc. continues to commit to investing in our future leaders - our children.
