Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo 2025: Honoring Tradition, Supporting Youth, and Bringing the Community Together Again
The 89th Annual Fort Bend County Fair & Rodeo is saddling up for another unforgettable season of music, tradition, and community celebration, running from September 26 to October 5, 2025—with cook-off festivities kicking off even earlier on September 19 and 20.

More Than a Fair — A Path to the Future
While music and rodeo bring people through the gates, the fair’s core mission is grounded in supporting Fort Bend County youth. Since 1979, the Fort Bend County Fair Association has awarded over 1,045 scholarships, including $5,000 awards for qualified students and additional scholarships for Fair Queen contestants.
Every livestock auction, BBQ plate, ticket, and art sale helps fund these life-changing opportunities. It’s a place where kids raise animals, submit creative projects, and take the stage—often for the first time—with the support of the entire community behind them.
Rodeo Events, Local Competitions & Family Traditions
There’s something for everyone at the fairgrounds. From high-stakes rodeo events to lighthearted lawn tractor races, the fair’s 10-day schedule is packed with chances to participate—or just sit back and enjoy.
Expect:
- PRCA Rodeo, Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, Team Roping, and the Exceptional Rodeo
- Junior Livestock Show, Creative Arts, School Art Auction, and Ag Mechanics
- The beloved Parade on Friday, September 26 at 9:00 a.m.
- Youth cook-offs, Domino Tournament (Sept. 28), and Cornhole Tournament (Sept. 20)
- Free kid favorites like the Diaper Derby, Pet Show, and Stick Horse Rodeo on October 4
Families can also enjoy the carnival, wine room, vendor shopping, and daily fair fun across the grounds.
Honoring Our Heroes and Supporting All Families
Military Appreciation Day returns on Friday, October 3. Veterans, active-duty service members, and their families can enjoy free admission from 3–7 PM and receive a complimentary BBQ meal ticket. A special ceremony and exhibits hosted by military branches will add meaning and connection to the day.
New this year is the Sensory Calm Down Corral, a thoughtfully designed quiet space for children and individuals with sensory sensitivities. Open daily during the fair, the corral offers noise-canceling headphones, weighted tools, fidget toys, and a welcoming environment staffed by trained volunteers.
