NEW SPLASH PAD PROJECT
As one of the most used amenities in our neighborhood park, our Splash Pad/Water Play area has served our community for over 15 years and has reached the end of it’s useful life. We are excited to announce a project that will replace the old splash pad area with a brand new, larger splash pad using current day technology and design features, so that Oak Park Trails residents can enjoy an improved, updated water play feature or years to come!
The construction project will begin January 24 with the demolition and removal of the old splash pad. Construction fencing will be in place to keep the area safe during the process. Please respect the fencing and be sure that children are reminded to stay clear of the area as well.
We are hopeful that the project will be completed by the end of March or first part of April, in time for Spring and Summer water play. We would also like to acknowledge and thank the Memorial MUD District Board for the large contribution they made to helping to finance this project. The partnership with Memorial MUD District is allowing us to move forward with building a state of the art water play feature that we have dreamed of for a long time.
