Located in Cypress, just north of Katy at 24202 West Road, John Paul Landing Park is a gem of nature and recreation. Spanning an impressive 876 acres, this park is the perfect destination for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to unwind amidst the great outdoors.

A Natural Oasis

One of the park's highlights is its serene 176-acre lake, which not only adds to the picturesque scenery but also serves as a crucial flood detention facility for the area. The lake and its surrounding landscapes are home to a variety of terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, making it an ideal spot for birdwatching and nature photography. Whether you're strolling along the banks or casting a line for a day of licensed fishing, the tranquil environment is sure to rejuvenate your spirit.

Fun for Everyone

John Paul Landing Park is packed with amenities designed for all ages and interests. You can explore the park via its 7.8-mile trail, perfect for hiking, biking, or jogging. For those looking to get active, there are exercise stations sprinkled throughout, as well as a cricket field and pickleball courts. If you're planning a family outing, the park features a playground and several picnic areas where you can enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. Just a short drive away at 9950 Katy Hockley Rd, the John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center offers an engaging way to learn about the local ecosystem. This center is dedicated to providing an up-close look at the area's wildlife and ecology through various interactive displays and activities.
