Dine Out and Do Good with Houston Restaurant Weeks Through September 4
For 20 years, Houston Restaurant WeeksTM (HRW) has been a beloved charity initiative benefitting the Houston Food Bank that makes giving easy and fun for foodies across the Greater Houston Area. And once again, Houstonians can raise their forks and bring their appetites to participating restaurants in support of neighbors in need.
This year's initiative started on August 1 and runs through Labor Day, September 4, with a record-breaking 385 restaurants participating this year! Over 35 days, diners will enjoy specially priced, multi-course prix-fixe menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner. HRW is the largest annual fundraiser for America’s largest food bank, the Houston Food Bank. Participating restaurants will make donations based on their HRW sales.
The 2023 meal prices, and donation amounts are as follows:
HRW Meal Prices | Restaurant Donation to Houston Food Bank per HRW Meal Sold | Number of Meals Generated by Food Bank per HRW Meal Sold |
Dinner $35 | $7 | 21 |
Dinner $39 | $5 | 15 |
Brunch $25 | $3 | 9 |
Lunch $25 | $3 | 9 |
“We are excited to see the number of restaurants continue to climb this year,” said Katie Stone. “In addition to many of the long-time favorites, we have more than 80 first timers. This shows how much the industry respects and embraces HRW. You can feel the power of our city’s philanthropic personality. Everyone can’t wait to Dine Out & Do Good!”
Houston Restaurant Weeks (HRW) was established in 2003 by 26-year restaurant correspondent and philanthropist Cleverley Stone, former host of “The Cleverley Show,” a talk show about food, wine and dining on CBS Sports Radio 650/KIKK-AM and former food segment contributor to Fox 26/KRIV Morning News in Houston. To date, HRW has donated over $18.8 million to fight hunger in Houston, providing over 56.4 million meals for those who are food insecure. The Cleverley Stone Foundation now exists to continue her mission and legacy by supporting Houstonians in need by producing Houston Restaurant Weeks, benefiting the Houston Food Bank, and sister event Eat Drink HTX.
