Did You Know Anniston Offers Front Yard Maintenance for All Residents?

December 04 2024

For those who call Anniston home, there’s a special perk that sets the community apart: the Front Yard Maintenance Program. This unique service is available to all residents as part of the annual assessment, ensuring that every home in Anniston benefits from professional lawn care, making the neighborhood look beautiful and well-maintained. Whether a new homeowner or a long-time resident, understanding the details of the program is important.

How the Front Yard Maintenance Program Works

Anniston’s Front Yard Maintenance Program provides comprehensive care for all front yards in the community. Managed by KRJ Management and carried out by Westco Grounds Maintenance, LLC, the program includes 42 mowing, edging, and line trimming visits throughout the year (weather permitting). Additionally, it features three weed control treatments, three fertilization applications, monthly shrub and plant trimming, bed area weeding, and one mulch application annually. This consistent care not only ensures that every front yard is beautifully maintained but also contributes to the overall appeal and uniformity of the community.

While this program covers a wide range of services for front yards, homeowners are responsible for rear yard maintenance, seasonal flower installations, and any landscape modifications, all of which require prior approval from the Architectural Review Committee. The scheduled maintenance generally takes place Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with Saturdays as a backup for weather delays. The best part? The cost of the program is already included in residents’ annual assessments—there are no additional fees for this service.

Owner Responsibilities and Maintenance Guidelines

To help the Front Yard Maintenance Program run smoothly and effectively, residents are asked to clear their front yards of vehicles, toys, hoses, and other obstacles that could impede the maintenance crew. Homeowners should also ensure their irrigation systems are properly set and functioning, as the program does not include irrigation repairs or adjustments. Residents are reminded not to water their lawns 24 hours before scheduled maintenance, as overwatering can cause yard damage. In the event of any issues, homeowners can easily submit a work order through the KRJ Management portal for review.

Anniston’s Front Yard Maintenance Program is designed to make life easier for homeowners while keeping the community looking its best. By participating in this program, Anniston residents not only enjoy the beauty of their well-maintained front yards but also contribute to the uniform, inviting atmosphere of the neighborhood.
