Cypress Creek FACE Announces 27th Season: 2023-2024

June 11 2023

This fall, Cypress Creek FACE will usher in their 27th season with international talent, new concert times and additional performing venue - all planned with patrons top of mind.

For a more comfortable experience and improved sound quality, Cypress Creek FACE will be moving some of their Star-Lit! Series performances to the Spring ISD’s Geiger Performing Arts Center at Westfield High School. Four performances will remain at The Centrum, the original home to Cypress Creek FACE.

The 27th Star-Lit! concert season will begin October 7 with GENTRI. GENTRI formed in 2014 when three tenors, members of the Mormon Church, created the Cinematic Pop group. The National Museum of Jazz celebrates Disney’s 100th Anniversary with When You Wish Upon a Star: A Jazz Tribute to 100 Years of Disney on November 11 at the Geiger PAC. One Night in Memphis will sing in the New Year on December 31 at The Centrum, followed by the highly anticipated return of The Greatest Love of All: A Tribute to Whitney Houston starring Belinda Davids on February 3, 2024 at the Geiger. Traveling from Norway, tenThing Brass Ensemble is a 10-member all-female group performing March 9 at The Centrum and lead by trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth. Jackie Evancho, who was a world-wide sensation at 10 years old is now a young woman with platinum-selling albums, will perform on April 20 at The Centrum. Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles will close out the season on May 18 at the Geiger PAC.

Promenade Series performances presented by Cypress Creek FACE will be back at The Centrum this next season. This series features classical, harp, brass, flute & piano, strings and more in nine afternoon concerts on the second Tuesday from September to May. Promenade Series season tickets are just $99 for all nine concerts.

Cypress Creek FACE's free Children’s Series will expand next season to include seven performances at two different venues: the Mangum-Howell Community Center and the new George H.W. Bush Community Center. All performances are at 11:00 AM on Saturdays. The free series will feature: Mixteco Ballet Folklórico presents "The Essence of Mexico," Ensemble Theatre presents "Lil' Man Saves Christmas," Voices from the Past "Sojourner" and a performance by Houston Grand Opera's Opera to Go!.

The Star-Lit! Series concerts, which feature national and international artists throughout the season, will start at 7:30 PM instead of 8:00 PM. Featuring local and regional artists showcased in eleven concerts, the Promenade Series concerts will now be held at 2:00 PM instead of 3:00 PM.

Season tickets are now on sale. Call 281-440-4850 or visit www.CypressCreekFACE.org for more information. Individual concert tickets will go on sale on Monday, July 31, 2023.
