Get ready for one of Cy-Fair's favorite Christmas traditions! The 30th Annual Cy-Fair Parade of Lights returns on Sunday, December 6, 2026, bringing decorated fire trucks, illuminated floats, festive vehicles and Santa Claus to Highway 6 in Northwest Houston.
Families from Cypress, Copperfield, Bear Creek and surrounding communities are invited to line the parade route for an evening of holiday fun while supporting the Texas Volunteer Firefighters' Relief Fund, a nonprofit organization that assists Texas volunteer firefighters and emergency medical personnel facing personal hardships.
This year's parade celebrates a special milestone with an America 250 theme, honoring the nation's 250th anniversary. Participating fire departments, businesses, community organizations and individuals are encouraged to decorate their entries with patriotic touches alongside traditional Christmas lights and holiday displays.
Spectators can watch the procession along Highway 6 North, with parade entries judged near Addicks Satsuma Road. Following the parade, everyone is invited to Cypress Falls High School for the awards presentation, where winning entries will be recognized and TVFFRF merchandise will be available for purchase.
Interested in entering the parade? Registration is available for fire apparatus, ambulances, decorated floats, commercial vehicles, wreckers, personal vehicles and specialty vehicles. Entry fees are $100 for fire-service vehicles and ambulances and $150 for non-fire-service entries. All vehicles must be decorated in accordance with the America 250 theme.
Registered participants must arrive at the staging area via Highway 6 and Keith Harrow Boulevard between 4:00 and 5:45 PM. Early arrivals are not permitted, and vehicles not already in line by 5:45 PM cannot check in. No overflow parking is available. Award winners must attend the presentation at Cypress Falls High School to receive their prizes.
Whether your family attends every year or you're looking for Christmas events in Cypress and Northwest Houston, the 2026 Cy-Fair Parade of Lights offers an opportunity to enjoy the holidays, celebrate with neighbors and recognize the volunteer first responders who serve Texas communities.
